Vertebrat e qafës. Gjithsej janë shtatë. Vertebrat cervikale dallohen nga vertebrat e tjera nga këto karakteristika: trupi i vertebrës është i vogël, të dyja faqet që kufizojnë trupin, janë të thelluara në formë shale, brima vertebrale është e gjerë, zgjatimi spinoz është i shkurtër.
