Inflamacion i episklerës, membranës e cila mbulon sklerën e syrit. Shkaku nuk dihet, por shoqërohet me disa sëmundje, si: artrit reumatoid, sindromën Sjogren, sifilisin, tuberkulozin, si dhe me herpes zoster.
